Local Kid Aaron Plessinger WINS 2024 Supercross Championship!

Aaron Plessinger of Red Bull KTM is a bit of a legend in these parts of Appalachia. Although he's from Hamilton, Ohio, many local WV and KY riders spend their careers riding and racing in southern Ohio. His dad, GNCC Champion Scott Plessinger even runs several tracks in the region. AP is already a unique rider with a huge fan base, but in Appalachia he's unmatched!

Last year we watched AP grab a holeshot and lead an entire race, only to toss away the win on the last lap. At San Diego this past weekend he would gain redemption. Ken Roczen would holeshot and lead for several laps until crashing, where AP would take the lead and not look back. His GNCC past and mud-riding skills definitely appeared benefit him in the 2nd mud race of the 3 first rounds. To sweeten the win, he would end up with the Supercross points lead with teammate Chase Sexton trailing right behind.
