I installed this on my 2021 KTM 690 Enduro R, I laid the bike over and quickly removed the old switch and put this one in without spilling any coolant. Put my plastics back on, took it for a ride and boom, fan came on at around 185 deg. F. That's exactly what I was wanting for summer rides in Central Texas!

Plug and play in my 2014 Duke 690. Simply leaned bike against the wall away from the switch side and removed plug then unscrewed the switch and put the new one in. Only lost a few drops of coolant. Topped up and bike runs 4 bars below top now when fan switches on and so far doesnt seem to go higher. Perfect (it was 2 bars before).
Pros: As advertised|Price was cheapest I saw

This Thermoswitch works for a 2017 Duke 690.nnThe stock switch turns the fan on after the temp rises to 5 bars (per KTM around 215 degrees Fahrenheit). The new switch turns on while still in 4 bars slightly above operating temperature. The fan will kick on when stopped for about 20-25 seconds at a light (in 100 degree weather). I read reviews that indicated the fan wont turn off once it goes on not true... the fan turns off after moving and temps drop back down to operating temperature.nnAnyone out there with a Duke 690 dont worry about getting the 88 degree Thermoswitch this one works great!

So the new switch is installed but I still get between 9 and 10 bars on the dash before the fan comes on. Is there really no good replacement switch that will turn the fan on at 7 or 8 bars (170 degrees F)???nIf I had to do this again I would save my money
