I wanted extra protection for my 890R and felt after a few dusty rides I'd supplement the stock (paper air cleaner element) with this Twin Air "Pre filter". It was easy to install. I thought a good value. It stopped a ton of dirt from entering the airbox. The part comes with main foam element & two filters for the weep holes in the bottom of the airbox. This is a great added protection from dust entering the box. The unit is super easy to install. I'm very happy with it. I would buy it again! I'd like to buy a few more filter elements to be able to take on multiple day rides.
Pros: Easy to install. Stops more dust entering the air-box
Cons: Another item to service. I suppose a good tradeoff for protection on an expensive rebuild.
