KTM Carbon Fiber Ignition Lock Cover 1290 SuperDuke GT

The good:nThis part fits perfectly and is incredibly light. nnThe Odd: The OEM carbon fiber tank cover is currently the only one that fits the Super Duke GT. Also the installation is different from the original plastic part as you have to remove the gas cap so that some tabs on the carbon piece can be held down by the cap.nnThe finish is an uninspiring matte. For such a pricey piece I would have hoped they would put some effort into a thick protective gloss clear coat. An issue easily corrected with some 2K Glamour Gloss clearcoat. This brought out some imperfections in the carbon that werent as obvious before the clear coat. nnIn conclusion: youre sacrificing a perfect finish for a part that fits perfectly. A begrudging trade but the result is awesome after a heavy clear coat is applied.
