Puig Husqvarna Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401/701 Windscreen (Light Smoke)

I really like this windscreen. It was super easy to install though I did have to modify the spacers slightly as I have the Husky headlight cover on as well and both parts use the same mounting location. They look great together and it takes just enough wind off my chest to make this little thumper an absolute blast on the interstate.

This is an ideal windscreen for the Svartpilen 401. Installation is elegant in its simplicity and sturdy. Ive experienced no turbulence off of the windscreen; flow is surprisingly smooth. And it looks great! Definitely a winner!n

INSTALLATION COMMENTS ONLY: \nIn addition to the Puig Windscreen you should also order two (2) Blind plug nuts just in case. I believe the part number is 60008008050 ( M5 WN16A) but you\d have to confirm with AOMC I couldn\t find the OE catalog for a 2002 Svart/Vitpilen 401. These bling plug nuts are used to hold on the tachometer and if they where over-torqued at the factory they may just fall apart after you remove the bolts and you\ll be trying to figure out why the new bolts won\t catch the threads. In case you feel like gambling it the Puig windscreen does includes four (4) of these blind plugs. They are used to hold the windshield onto the brackets and they happen to be the same size as the originals; in a pinch you can swap the Puig plugs to hold you over like I did. Honestly Puig should\ve just thrown in six (6) blind plugs and told you to replace your original ones.\n\nWINDSCREEN STICKER:\nInstall the sticker while the windshield is still off the bike do not try to install the sticker once the windshield is attached you\ll never center the sticker.
