Finished the install on this last week and immediately went on a two-day adventure ride in the hill country. The plate got bashed two or three times and absorbs it all without issue. No wobbling doesnt shake doesnt vibrate. No issue on KTM 1090 R.

U always go with Original KTM parts as they are designed to work with other KTM parts such as the factory engine guard bars. The install kit comes with three size of spaces to ensure fitment over several bike models .
Pros: Quality |Accurate fitment
Cons: None

Bottom line up front--4 stars because it needed some modification to fit my 1090R although this may represent some tolerance variances in frame and engine-guard welding from KTM. It arrived quickly all of the pieces were there and the typical KTM power parts instructions (looking like a third generation xerox copy) were succinct but got the point across pretty well despite the grey on grey photos. I had to grind the shortest bushings down(about 2-3mm each) and repaint them before I could get the front support bar on but after that it went very smoothly. Make sure you get help or something to lean the bike on when placing the left side bracket on around the exhaust--you have to remove one of the bolts that holds the kickstand on to do it (the instructions feature a 1290 with a center stand which my 1090 lacks). Otherwise pretty self explanatory took about 90 minutes (not including waiting for the paint on the bushings to dry) and seems very robust will probably take a pretty ferocious beating before folding.
Pros: Everything in one box|Solid and well designed|Not too difficult to install
Cons: Needed to grind the bushings|careful with kickstand
