Good potential
Almost a great stand out of the box. The innovations with this stand are great, ability to be collapsed for storage, unobstructed access to one side of the mounted wheel. There does seem to be an issue with the interfacing of the hub cones and the shaft due to the set screw on one cone and the collar screw on the other cone, both seem cause offset of the cone about the axle, and translate to inconsistent increasing lateral runout the further the measurement is taken from the shaft. Runout at the shaft measured less than .1mm (.0039"), and bearings rotate freely as expected. Not using the securing screws present on the hub cones, and the addition of a 15mm shaft collar that is independent from the hub cones forces the alignment of the cones to be controlled by the radial mating surfaces (being, collar, hub) without introducing cone offset and makes the stand great. The addition of a couple super clamps, articulating arm, and a dial gauge makes for a great defining accuracy, although a piece of electrical tape and the included pointer can produce a equivalent result for a fraction of the cost of a decent gauge.

Maybe light-duty but if folds...
Only used this one twice and it does work. But I two sided stand would have been a lot better. Sags with heavier tires but you can always wedge it up of course.\n\nBut I wanted a fold-able balance stand.
Pros: Foldable
Cons: Unstable
