More comfortable than the factory seat. Says it's 20mm higher, really only feels about 10mm higher, but you can tell it sits slightly higher. The orange stitching and embroidery look fantastic. Grippier than stock seat. Definitely worth the upgrade.

The stock 1290 SDR seat really leaves a lot to be desired for those who go on 1hr+ rides. The ergo seat is leaps better in this regard. The foam has a bit more oomph to it its a tad wider and taller than stock and the rubberized grip texture is much nicer than the pleather factory seat.nnMy only complaint is that the ergo seat texture is almost too good for spirited riding if youre someone who leans off the seat. In jeans or any grippy pant I almost feel velcrod to the seat. In order to lean I feel like I have to lift off scoot over and then plant back down. Might wear in over time but a note for any future owners.
