Arai XD4 Helmet (Aluminium Silver)
The Twin-Cam Shield Pivot System on the Arai XD helmet allows the faceshield to operate fully under a peak that can be lowered for better aerodynamics. Its high-flow peak channels air directly into the front vents. Dual TDF3 top intake vents and Double Delta bridged exhaust vents are designed to draw a significant volume of air from the helmet interior. The shell, constructed of fiberglass composite, is stronger and lighter and allows the use of softer, less dense liner materials for increased rider comfort. An efficient chinbar vent, with interior and exterior controls, flows fresh air to the mouth area or across the shield interior to help prevent fogging, while large chinbar side exhaust vents draw out additional hot air. Arai XD series helmets can be configured with shield and peak, peak only, for use with goggles, or shield only.

If you have a twenty dollar head wear a twenty dollar lid. I\ve battle tested Arai\s for thirty plus years. Not always the quietest or lightest but they fit (loads of parts and options to tune fit if needed) ventilate well last and protect your head. Worth every penny IMHO. I have 58cm head and a M has worked for me since the late eighties. The XD-4 is the perfect do-everything helmet with minimal compromise. Road -- use the low position on the peak with the visor (with their signature \cracked open\ position option) Off-pavement -- push the peak up and put on some goggles (smaller no outrigger designs will go under the visor). Downside is that you have drop quite a few dollars.
