Looking for a way to get my Garmin 660 reused on my new KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. This was the best cheap solution compare to doing a handlebar mount. Very simple installation being mounted directly behind the windscreen using the same mounts. The slide mount allows for different view angles of my GPS on the fly without having to undo any latches or bolts. Seems to be holding the weight of my Garmin and will get a real test this Spring on the trails.
Pros: Easy To Mount|Secure with just two bolts|Sliding position for viewing|Right spot for ACC power
Cons: ABS plastic holder|Garmin mount bolts touch

The KTM GPS mount puts the unit where it needs to be. Up high. Its not in your way but it is in a place so you do not have to take your eyes off the road.

Much better mounting location than the handlebars with the RAM mount.

Solid build quality. nnI wasnt sure about having the gps above the tft but its been great. nnOnly minor complaint is that at speeds above 30 the bracket vibrates. Not bad enough that you cant read the gps but definitely noticeable.
Pros: Better GPS Visibility
Cons: Shakey

Mounting to the windscreen is the lesser of two evils. Solid piece. Can be easily rotated to angle the gps toward the ground and (mostly) out of your line of sight.

It works however its a little odd however the pivoting action is clever. Not many GPS/Phone brackets fit the base plate due to the holes/slots provided. The replacement bolts that pass through your windscreen are way too short (same length as OEM bolts).nnNOTE: this will not fit with a PUIG aftermarket windscreens w/o some Drimel work on the bracket itself and longer screws with additional rubber bushings are needed.
Pros: good location above TFT |pivoting action is slick|looks OEM
Cons: provided hardware not right|base plate should be simpler|doesn fit other windscreens|too expensive
