Description

0IMS 2.5 Gal Auxiliary Fuel Tanks Husqvarna 701 Enduro / Supermoto

The Husqvarna 701 is an excellent blend of Swedish functionality, modern design, and enigneering. But, sometimes the 3.4 gallon tank is just not enough for some excursions. Don't worry, IMS has you covered with two 1.25 gallon tanks (sold as pair)

IMS' new Auxiliary fueling tanks provide will help you go further. While divided into two tanks the routing of fuel allows the two to drain evenly ensuring even weight distribution and normal fuel operation.

Includes all hardware needed for mounting.

May require minor alterations to your plastic shrouds.

Long range and balances the bike.
Just follow the directions watch out for the main mounting bolts only two line up at a time till you draw the tank in the position and the other two bolts will start do not cross thread them if you start to stop immediately chase the threads with a tap and continue on youll be very pleased with these tanks no fuel pump required.
Pros: Added fuel capacity|Balances the bike
Cons: None|I added petcocks.

Good not perfect
Overall it is a good product. Tanks are sturdy. I have had some problems with a leaky tank but IMS has been good to work with so far. Install was a lengthy process that took a little time. Follow the directions and take your time. Before you start the work run the bike until it stalls then drain the main tank as best as you can with a siphon or some other method. Otherwise youre likely to get gas everywhere like I did. Installation does involve drilling into the main tank. I used permatex seal and gasket(fuel resistant) grey. It seamed to help when I had to fix the seal between petcock and tank. nnAfter a years worth of ownership Im not confident I would purchase them again. Even on long cross country ride with a handful of fuel stops 200+ miles apart where these tanks shine you could easily keep a roll up 2/3 gallon fuel bladder packed away for 1/3 the price and not have an extra 25 pounds hanging off the front of your bike. Not because it is a bad product but because the problem can be solved for less money and without the head ache of a potentially leaky tank. nnOnce you receive them check that the hardware mates up flat against tanks.
Pros: +125 mile range|tanks blend in to bike
Cons: lengthy install |expensive solution
